SPEEDY SENIORS OF THE MOMENT

Sitting on the highway waiting to catch speeders, a state police officer saw a car puttering along at 22 M.P.H. He thinks to himself, that car is just as dangerous as a speeder. He turns his lights on and pulls them over.

Approaching the car, he notices there are 5 old ladies, two in the front and 3 at the back, wide eyed and looking like ghosts.

The elderly lady in the front is obviously confused. "Officer, I don't understand, I wasn't doing over the speed limit!, What seems to be the problem?"

The officer thinks she must be over 80. "Ma'am," the officer answers gently, "you should know that driving slower than the speed limit can also be dangerous".

"Slower than the speed limit? NO SIR! I was doing exactly 22 miles an hour", the old woman said proudly.

The officer holds back a chuckle as he explains that 22 was the route number, not the speed limit. A bit embarrassed, the woman smiles, thanking the officer for pointing out her error.

"He studies the rest of the passengers in the vehicle. These women seem badly shaken and haven't uttered a word all this time "Before I go Ma'am, I have to ask, is everyone Okay?”

"Oh! They will be alright in a minute, Officer, we just got off Route 142."

Yay...I love when what I do is verified again and again, especially when it's in the reputable Forbes/MSNBC! Thank you writer Vicki Salemi! Part of what I do in my company is chat with employees and management during their company "Lunch and Learns" and speak for groups nationwide about the the fact that a happy worker equals a productive worker. Now another author and study confirms it! Jessica Pryce-Jones, author of "Happiness at Work" and CEO of iOpener says "Happiness at work is closely correlated with greater performance and productivity as well as greater energy, better reviews, faster promotion, higher income, better health and increased happiness with life. So it's good for organizations and individuals, too."

Pryce-Jones used questionnaires, focus groups and results from 3,000 respondents in 79 countries, Pryce-Jones findings proved that happiness has a distinct advantage over unhappiness. Her research showed that the happiest employees are 180 percent more energized than their less content colleagues, 155 percent happier with their jobs, 150 percent happier with life, 108 percent more engaged and 50 percent more motivated. The man pulled into a shady area of the crowded parking lot at the Wal-Mart Shopping Center and rolled down the car windows to make sure his Retriever Pup had fresh air. She was stretched full-out on the back seat and he wanted to impress upon her that she must remain there. He walked to the curb backward, pointing his finger at the car and saying emphatically, "Now you stay. Do you hear me?" "Stay! Stay!"

The driver of a nearby car, a pretty blond young lady, gave him a strange look and said,
